What is Sci-Desk?

Sci-Desk is an on-demand, cloud based, Scientific Application Support-in-a-box. Sci-Desk offers comprehensive managed services for Scientific & Lab Computing Systems spanning Discovery, R&D and Manufacturing QC Labs

Will Sci-Desk support be made available for a single application?

Yes, you can subscribe to Sci-Desk even if it is for a single scientific application

If we take the Standard Plan and we use only 10 incidents/tickets a month, will the remaining 5 carry over to the next month?

The Standard plan includes up to 15 tickets per month. However, if only 10 tickets were used up in a month, the remaining 5 incidents/requests will not be carried forward to the next month

If we need enhancements for our applications to be included as part of subscription, which plan should we opt for?

Enhancements are considered as part of the Enterprise plans. Please reach out to us for more details

Can we have one application in Basic plan and another in Premium plan?

Yes, you can opt for different subscription plans for each of your applications.

Are application upgrades included as part of the plans provided?

In the plans explained in the website, Upgrades are not included. Please reach out to us in case upgrades are required to be performed for any Scientific application

Do the plans provide coverage for application outages as well?

Yes, the plans provided include coverage for high priority incidents as well. For high priority incidents, it will be better if the user can call 1800-scidesk in addition to logging the incident in our portal

We have a couple of home-grown applications. Will you be able to support them as part of Sci-Desk?

Yes, in addition to Custom Off The Shelf (COTS) products, we also provide support for home grown custom applications built using Java, Dot Net or PHP

We have a validated system, would Sci-Desk offering cover validated scientific applications as well?

Yes Sci-Desk includes support for validated systems. The team will undergo customer specific trainings if any to be able to provide the necessary support for scientific applications.

How do I reach the Sci-Desk team?

The Sci-Desk team can be reached via email, portal or through phone. For high priority issues, in addition to logging the issue in the portal or sending it via an email, the 1800-scidesk number can be utilized to talk to our analysts.

Does Sci-Desk offer a Ticket Management system?

Yes, Sci-Desk, includes a portal to log and track the issues or requests.

We have scientific application, but we don’t see that in the list you have provided. Would you be able to support that application?

Yes. Sci-Desk currently includes support for the applications listed. Every quarter, new applications will be added to the list of applications supported. If you can share the application you are interested in, we will share the roadmap of when it will be included. The application can also be prioritized to be included in the supported list applications.
